InspireMD addresses approximately 50% of a $6 billion coronary market:
patients with acute coronary syndromes (“ACS”), Acute Myocardial Infarction (“AMI”) and Saphenous Vein Graft interventions (“SVG”).
During and post stenting procedure 12% to 19% of the patients face major adverse cardiac events (“MACE”) with no satisfactory solution.
The Company plans to establish the safety and efficacy of MGuard™ via a series of randomized trials, to become the industry standard for treatment of acute coronary syndromes. The Company plans to have four marketed and approved products in the U.S., Europe, Japan and other markets.
MGuard: The “Choice for Life” device
The MGuard™ Stent system, is based on a micron level knit net that wraps a standard balloon expandable stent. The net blocks embolic showers, providing protection during and post stenting procedure. The net also diffuses stent pressure and reduces injury to the vessel, thereby lowering the risk of restenosis and protecting the artery wall from stent injury and damage.
The MGuard™ net’s fiber width is smaller than a typical endothelial cell; therefore transparent to the endothelization process. This design helps reduce major adverse events.
